The floor decking is suitable for hard, even surfaces, like for example concrete, stone and wood.
May be combined with other colours of RUNNEN floor decking.
Wood contains tannic acid which, after a time, can leak out and discolour the sub-floor. Never lay wooden decking on a surface where it would matter if this happened.

Q:What sort of timber are these, and is it treated?

A:

It is made of solid acacia and the wood contains tannic acid.

However, it was not specified or noted in the IKEA website if the wood is treated.
