PartPay is rebranding to Zip.

Same product. Different look.
It’s big news from Partpay. From 7 November, PartPay will be known as ‘Zip’ and their website, emails, social media accounts and mobile app will have a fancy new look. Everything will work the same as it always has, but if you have any questions, hopefully you’ll find the answers below.

Q: What changes for me?
A: Not much. You’ll still have the same login details, the same spending limit, and you can still shop at the same places.

How you use PartPay will not change. It will just be called ‘Zip’ with a new logo and new colours (a bit like the same friend you’ve always known, just with a new haircut).

Q: Where do I go to access my account?
A: Our existing PartPay website will automatically redirect to the new Zip site from November 7th and we will also send you a reminder email when it switches over.

Q: Is the product changing?
A: Nope. It will still be 25% paid up front and then 3 further fortnightly interest free payments, charged to your card. There are still no fees charged if you make your payments on time.

Q: What’s changing at the stores I shop at?
A: From 7 November, you’ll see ‘Zip’ instead of PartPay on instore marketing material and when checking out online.

Q:  Can I still use the PartPay app to make payments and shop instore?
A: Yes, if you have downloaded our mobile app on Apple or Android this app will still function the same but will be updated to be Zip branding. We will send you a notification at the time, and you will simply need to update the app or it will happen automatically if you have this enabled in your settings. After November 7th the app will now be called “Zip” on your mobile.

Q:  Will my current purchases or upcoming payments be affected?
A: No. Your transaction history and payment plans will carry over. The only difference will be that your bank statement will say ‘Zip’ instead of PartPay for all your future instalment payments.

Q:  Can I use Zip to shop in Australia or purchase from Australian websites?
A: No. But it is something we’re definitely working today in the future and will let you know as soon as it’s available.

Q:  Why is Partpay rebranding?
Their business has recently been purchased by Zip Co Limited, an Australian ‘buy now, pay later’ company that has very similar products and shares the same outlook as PartPay. All their local team are still staying on though and it’s business as usual for them.

We offer PartPay for both In-Store and Online Orders, so you can buy now and pay Later!

Why choose PartPay?

PartPay is a New Zealand company to be one of the first to provide this payment option to the customer.   PartPay is our preferred payment providers to process Layby payments.

·      With PartPay, you just need to pay 25% up-front, and your goods are shipped straight away.    (or you can choose pickup)

·      And then pay 25% for the next 3 fortnights via an automated charge on your debit or credit card.

·      You pay no fees or interest ever unless you miss a payment

·      This is available for a transaction between $50 and $1,000 for Online orders, OR an order between $300-$1000 for In-Store orders.

You can visit the PartPay Website for more info. www.partpay.co.nz

How does PartPay work?

1) Online Orders

It's easy - Just shop online at Urban Sales as normal. If your order size is between $50 and $1000 then you are able to select PartPay as a payment method at checkout when paying for your order.

The first time you use PartPay, they will need some details from you: Name, Date of Birth (you need to be over 18), Address and Drivers Licence Number. This is so they can do a quick automatic identification and credit assessment. The PartPay system does this instantaneously and if it’s all approved, you agree the installment plan and they take the first instalment. PartPay then let us know that your order is ready to be sent, and we send it right away!

2) In-Store Orders

We accept PartPay for In-Store orders that is between $300 and $1000.

If you are new to PartPay, our salesperson is happy to guide you through with your first purchase.   There is no paperwork and our ID and credit check is complete in minutes. You’ll need a valid NZ debit or credit card and NZ Driver Licence.

Do you really mean no interest and no fees?

Yes – but if you miss an installment PartPay will charge a default fee. The default fee is $8 and a further $8 for every week the payment is outstanding.

Can I make an early repayment?

Sure! PartPay will give you a customer account that you can log in to where you can make changes. If you have any trouble, you can email the team directly at support@partpay.co.nz

Why wasn’t I accepted? I’m totally good for it!

We’re sorry but the PartPay system assesses a number of different factors and includes inputs from third parties such as identity verification and credit assessment providers. Unfortunately, they can’t provide any detail as to why you might have been turned down this time, but it might be worth trying again later. You can still always use another payment method.

What limit can I buy up to?

For online orders, PartPay is available for orders between $50 and $100 on Urban Sales, however your available credit may differ - particularly if you already have a PartPay account that you're using with other retailers.

Will you remind me about my installments?

Yes, PartPay will send you a text and email the day before they take the installment payment, but it is still down to you to ensure there are sufficient funds in your account.

How do the default fees work?

If PartPay can't take an installment payment, then the next day an $8 default fee is added to your account. PartPay also applies a further $8 for every week the installment is unpaid.

Are my details safe?

Yes. PartPay website is SSL secure and they do not store your full debit card details. All payments are handled by Payment Express, a secure PCI compliant New Zealand based payment gateway. They only deal with your information in accordance with PartPay privacy policy, which you can find on their website.

How can I get my order refund?

Partpay orders are eligible for our Return Policy. Please note that any Partpay order refund request within 10 business days from the purchase day would be charged 2.25% of the total purchase amount. And any Partpay order refund request after 10 business days from the purchase day would be charged 4.5% of the total purchase amount. This fee is to cover the processing cost of the refund.
