Dining Chairs

Choosing the Right Dining Chair for Your Table

Solid wood chairs bring warmth and match naturally with timber dining tables, while leather and other finishes offer different looks and care requirements. Check the individual listing for material and care details. If space is tight or you only need extra seating occasionally, look for a foldable design that tucks away when it's not in use. We also carry a few designer-inspired replica styles for a more considered, statement look. Seat height, arm width and overall footprint all vary between designs, so it's worth thinking about how the chair will actually be used day to day — pulled in and out for quick meals, or settled into for long dinners with guests. Whatever the style, check the individual listing for the exact material, care instructions and dimensions before you buy.

Mixing and Matching Your Dining Chairs

You don't need every chair to match. A uniform set of dining tables and chairs gives a clean, coordinated look, while mixing two complementary styles — say, a run of wood chairs with a couple of upholstered ends — adds a more relaxed, collected feel. Either way, aim for a consistent seat height across the set so the table looks and sits right.
