When stacked, these 2 beds become a single bed or sofa. Unstacked, you get a double bed, corner sofa or spare bed for sleepovers. And, if you need space for yoga, just stack them again.

Not just for kids
I was able to easily get the two boxes home in a Corolla. The beds were easy to assemble once I realized that each bed is not symmetrical (left and right rails are at different heights). The lack of symmetry enables one to push the two twin beds together to form a "king" size bed without a wood separator in the middle. There are two snap straps that hold the beds together.

Although this bed was featured in the kids section of my local Ikea, I bought it for myself (an adult). I am using this bed with two 5" twin memory foam mattresses that I bought from another retailer for $50 a piece. Because I was able to save so much $$$ on the bed and the mattresses, I splurged on cream colored high thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. The finished bed (I am using it as a large "king" bed) has a clean and simple yet beautifully sophisticated look.

I absolutely recommend this bed for 1) versatility in usage as a "king", two twins, or a tall single twin bed, 2) affordable price, and 3) real pine wood that can be customized with paint or stain.

Beautiful natural pine frame - great fun to put together with a friend. Solid, stackable, super flexible for 1 or 2 guests or just for hanging out in our home office. Our youngest immediately made it her nest for reading and playing games.

This stacker bed is great BUT as two separates or a double it’s very low to the ground which I wasn’t expecting but probably should have read the dimensions properly ha! Otherwise the quality is great, it was super easy to assemble and packaged/freighted beautifully. It just lost stars for the height issue.

The NZ standard single mattress is 92x188cm in size dimensions and it will not fit.

Best mattress to fit is 80x200cm.
