Mattress Size Guide
Why Mattress Sizes Vary?
- Mattress sizes differ by country due to different manufacturing standards.
- In New Zealand, standard sizes are different from global sizes, commonly found in China and some European markets.
- Choosing the correct size ensures a perfect fit for your bed frame!
How to get it right:
✔ Always check the bed frame inner size in cm before you buy.
✔ Make sure your bed and mattress are from the same size family — NZ or global.
✔ Product titles clearly indicate if it’s a “NZ Queen” or “Global Queen” (etc.) — always double-check before purchasing.
📏 Mattress Size Comparison Table
(NZ Standard vs. Global Sizes)
| NZ Size | Global Size | |
| Single | 91 x 188cm | 90 x 200cm |
| King Single | 107 x 203cm | - |
| Double | 137 x 188cm | 120 x 200cm |
| Queen | 153 x 203cm | 150 x 200cm |
| King | 168 x 203cm | - |
| Super King | 183 x 203cm | 180 x 200cm |
✅ Choosing The Right Mattress
NZ Standard Sizes
- These are the most common sizes in New Zealand.
- If your bed frame was purchased in NZ, it likely fits these dimensions.
Global Sizes
- Follow international sizing (commonly used in China & Europe).
- Example: A Global Queen (150 x 200cm) is slightly smaller than an NZ Queen (153 x 203cm).
- Urban Sales offers bed mattresses that match both local and global standards.
⚠️ Before You Buy
✔ Double-check your bed frame size before purchasing.
✔ Compare against the size chart.

How long will delivery take?
We work with trusted courier partners across New Zealand to deliver your order with Track and Trace. Deliveries usually happen during working days.

• 2–3 working days to Auckland
• 3–5 working days to the rest of the North Island
• 5–10 working days to the South Island
• Up to 14 working days for rural or remote areas

Do you deliver outside of Auckland?
Yes - all products can be shipped anywhere in New Zealand, including rural areas.
Will I pay extra for deliveries to rural areas?
Will I pay extra for deliveries to rural areas?
Yes - rural deliveries may have an extra surcharge. Our shipping estimates cover delivery to the nearest freight depot or most metro addresses. If the original shipping fee doesn’t cover the rural surcharge, your order will go to the closest depot, and you’ll need to arrange delivery from there. If you prefer door-to-door delivery, we’ll email you the extra rural surcharge cost before shipping.
Can I ship highly fragile items?
Can I ship highly fragile items?
No - we don’t ship highly fragile products like mirrors or glass tops.
You can pick them up yourself or arrange your own trusted courier from our Auckland warehouse. If you choose to have Urban Sales ship them, it’s at your own risk - we’re not liable for any loss, damage, or delivery delays, and claims or warranties will be void.
What is a ‘Delivery Point’?
What is a ‘Delivery Point’?
The Delivery Point is the outside area of your address - usually the front door or a spot you’ve specified. For multi-level buildings, it’s the ground floor. For rural deliveries, the delivery point may be the nearest depot, not your residence. If you ask the courier to bring items inside beyond the delivery point, an extra fee will apply.
- PVPete V.Verified BuyerReviewingLinspire Cloudon Pocket Spring Mattress - Medium Firm, BeigeI recommend this productRated 5 out of 5 stars5 days agoLinspire Cloudon Pocket Spring Mattress is heavy
The mattress is shipped with thick cardboard on top of the mattress, I think its to keep the light weight foam layer from moving. Living in a townhouse with terrible stairs, the cardboard needed to be removed for the mattress to bend/move round the stairway. By the the time the mattress is on the base, the foam layer has moved to one edge. The top cover zip is very nice to use, its smooth and free. Rearranging the top layer and zipping the cover back on was a breeze.
