Why choose Zip?
Zip is a New Zealand company to be one of the first to provide this payment option to the customer. Zip is our preferred payment provider to process laybuy payments.
· With Zip, you just need to pay 25% up-front, and your goods are shipped straight away. (or you can choose pickup)
· And then pay 25% for the next 3 fortnights via an automated charge on your debit or credit card.
· You pay no fees or interest ever unless you miss a payment
· This is available for a transaction between $50 and $1,000 for Online orders, OR an order between $300-$1000 for In-Store orders.

How does Zip work?
1） Online Orders
It's easy - Just shop online at Urban Sales as normal. If your order size is between $50 and $1000 then you are able to select Zip as a payment method at checkout when paying for your order.
The first time you use Zip, they will need some details from you: Name, Date of Birth (you need to be over 18), Address and Drivers Licence Number. This is so they can do a quick automatic identification and credit assessment. The Zip system does this instantaneously and if it’s all approved, you agree the installment plan and they take the first instalment. Zip then let us know that your order is ready to be sent, and we send it right away!
2） In-Store Orders
We accept Zip for In-Store orders that is between $300 and $1000.
If you are new to Zip, our salesperson is happy to guide you through with your first purchase. There is no paperwork and our ID and credit check is complete in minutes. You’ll need a valid NZ debit or credit card and NZ Driver Licence.
Do you really mean no interest and no fees?
Yes – but if you miss an installment Zip will charge a default fee. The default fee is $8 and a further $8 for every week the payment is outstanding.
Can I make an early repayment?
Sure! Zip will give you a customer account that you can log in to where you can make changes. If you have any trouble, you can email the team directly at email@example.com
Why wasn’t I accepted? I’m totally good for it!
We’re sorry but the Zip system assesses a number of different factors and includes inputs from third parties such as identity verification and credit assessment providers. Unfortunately, they can’t provide any detail as to why you might have been turned down this time, but it might be worth trying again later. You can still always use another payment method.
What limit can I buy up to?
For online orders, Zip is available for orders between $50 and $100 on Urban Sales, however your available credit may differ - particularly if you already have a Zip account that you're using with other retailers.
Will you remind me about my installments?
Yes, Zip will send you a text and email the day before they take the installment payment, but it is still down to you to ensure there are sufficient funds in your account.
How do the default fees work?
If Zip can't take an installment payment, then the next day an $8 default fee is added to your account. Zip also applies a further $8 for every week the installment is unpaid.

How can I get my order refund?
Zip orders are eligible for our Return Policy. Please note that any Zip order refund request within 10 business days from the purchase day would be charged 2.25% of the total purchase amount. And any Zip order refund request after 10 business days from the purchase day would be charged 4.5% of the total purchase amount. This fee is to cover the processing cost of the refund.
